Literary Festival
Started in 2016, through the collaboration of two noted authors; S. Kelley Chambers and Mary Adams, PhD., the Fredericksburg Literary Festival celebrates the literature and poetry of local authors and poets; self-published, first-time authors and nationally acclaimed award winners from around the world. Various genres are accepted: Children's books, Mysteries, Religion, Fantasy, Romance, Christian, Historical Fiction, Young Adult, Fiction, Nonfiction, Comedy/Humor, African-American, Western, Cook Books, Self-Help, Comic, Memoirs/Biography, Horror, Thriller, Poetry, Travel, Play-writes, Suspense, Grunge... Are just some of the diverse selections offered.

This event is open to published authors and poets worldwide. Tables, chairs and light refreshments are provided. Tents are not provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you desire.
Anyone interested in presenting their works to the public in a professional and friendly atmosphere, we are currently accepting registrations.
About the Event
Native of South Carolina and long time resident of Fredericksburg, VA, S. Kelley Chambers was educated at Howard University and has been employed with the Bureau of Labor Statistics for over 25 years. Avid reader and researcher with a passion for writing, poetry and singing, she followed her dreams and collaborated with her pastor, Bishop Mary Adams, PhD., also a published author, and spearheaded the successful Fredericksburg Book Festival last year for authors and poets.
S. Kelley Chambers is the author of, "Damn the Nanny... " and is presently working on her second book, "A Pregnancy Journal for Single Mother's."
Born in Fayetteville, NC, Bishop Mary E. Adams, Ph.D., has a very diverse ministry background which allows great flexibility in working within a broad scale of assignments. Committed to preaching and defending the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Dr. Adams is an avid reader and has authored seven books: Beneath the Surface, Pursuing the Upward Call, The Best Days are Ahead, For Such a Time as This, Sounds of Destiny, On the Way There and For the Applause of Heaven.
Dr. Adams holds degrees in Theology, Christian Counseling and Education.
